Japanese lesson number one

As you could already register I quite like Japan.
With most of its features <3

From kimono thru katana to their lovely language.
I will not lie to you - it probably is not the easiest language to learn.
But it is worth it - and usefull if you want to pay a longer visit to this beautiful islands <3

First, what you should know before starting is their two alphabets.
They are called kana - first one is called hiragana second one is called katakana.
(i love hiragana because it looks so artistic :D and katakana is usually used to rewrite words from other languages - like from English or Czech)

Before I will begin this lesson, lets have a look at lovely hiragana and strictly geometric katakana :D
(although they seem completely different they have the same rules with voiced series (not sure if i translated this correctly  but nevermind! :D ))

first, hiragana

secondly, katakana
(thanks goes to kidjapanese.com for a great charts! )
And now, lets learn!
Lets learn what you should do when you meat someone.
(formal learning will begin next time - it would bore me to death to do it now :D )

When you meet somebody for the first time you are supposed to say:

はじめまして。                                               How do you do! (when you meet someone for the first time)
わたしはやまかわです。                               I am Yamakawa. (not formal)
わたくしはやまかわでございます。              I am Yamakawa. (formal)
わたくしはやまかわともうします。                 I am Yamakawa. (formal)

どうぞよろしく。                    Nice to meet you! (not formal)
よろしくおねがいします。                               It is a pleasure to meet you. (formal)
よろしくおねがいいたします。                        It is a pleasure to meet you. (very formal)
どうぞよろしくおねがいします。                     It is a real pleasure to meet you. (formal)
どうぞよろしくおねがいいたします。              It is a real pleasure to meet you. (very formal)
こちらこそどうぞよろしくおねがいします。    The pleasure is on my side. (formal)

こちらはやまかわさんです。                         This is mister Yamakawa.
このかたはやまかわさんです。                    This is mister Yamakawa. (this noble person is Yamakawa)

おなまえは?                                                     What is your name? (not formal)

げんきですか。                        How are you doing?
げんきです。                            I am fine/feeling alright.
どうもありがとうございました。Thank you very much.
では、また。                            See you later!

I know that there are some translation problems.
I am aware of that - but it is correct, basically.
The meaning remains the same.

But if you see some really big mistake - can you please tell me?
Thank you very much and I do hope you enjoyed this (not yet proper) lesson! :3
