New year - new lifestyle?

First of all I want to wish all the best in 2014!
May the force be with you! xD
I do hope you enjoyed holidays and survived without bigger problems or without killing anybody.
Not sure what you would like to achieve in the new year.
Usually, I am cynical when it comes to New Years resolutions.
But it might be better than giving up and do nothing about your life.

So, lets see what this year should be holding for me - and if you want to share, what it holds for you! ^__^

We all have some habbits we would like to get rid of. Or maybe we would like to be better in something.
And New Year always feels like a good starting point with your new (possibly better) lifestyle.
But is it just a spark of the moment or do we really want to do something about it?

Most of us are possibly lazy and we learnt by years that nothing changes - because we are usually lazy to change anything.
We wish to loose some weight, we want to speak another language, be a better person.
But then, when it comes to that horrible part when you should actually do something about it, everything falls apart. And you end up thinking "Well, it was pointless from the very beginning!".
Maybe it is the time to actually do it and finish it!

So, i will share my list of NY´s resolutions - maybe it will inspire some, maybe it will make you smile.
But in this way, I do not care :D

  • learn Japanese, properly this time and be serious about it!
(I am thinking about making some self-learning articles that i will post here)
  • be more active - do some excercise
                           - paint more
                           - draw more
                           - write more
                           - sing more
  • talk to more people (because it makes your brain more active and therefore "clever")
  • be less shy - shy people will not win in the survival of the fittest
  • save money (there is lots of things i want to buy so i have to stop buying things i do not need)
  • read more - and read good books
  • sleep less
  • drink less - not that i am drinking too much but it will save some money :D
  • be friendly, but not stupid
  • try to do something about my life (make goals, go for them and achieve them!)
  • get into driving, again
  • be more positive :3
Seems like I have a busy year ahead :D

So what about you?
Do you have any resolutions for this year?
Or is life without them easier and more real?

Bye for now, dears! <3

  1. Sooo :)
Thinking about this, I mean giving resolutions, for someone is it good way to achieve something, to do something with bad habits like smoking or drinking. From the other side, is really necessary for steps like this New Year s Eve? If we wanted to improve ourselves, we should do it, anywhen :) But on the last days of the year is it good time to balancing about life and lifestyle ( one year is over, some etap of life is ending), about what we wanted and compare it with what we achieved it. For me, older I am, less I know what I want to do. I just want to be happy, don t know the way how I achieve it. I ve got some small resolutions like study harder, not be lazy, save money ( yes, that s really hard for me ) thinking positive.
Is important not giving yourself impossible resolutions, because after we are disappointed, don t you think?

    1. Well, thank you for a nice opinion, Anon :)

I am sure you are right with some points you have written.
For example we should be trying to get better whole year not just at the beggining. But it has its magic when you think about it.
      Something ends and something starts
the old is behind and the new is for us to choose.
Then it might have some effect on us, when it is more powerfull, magical with all the fireworks and new years wishes.

It might help but it is entirely up to us.
It will not happen on its own - we have to do it.
Be it in the middle of the year, beginning of the day or at the edge of our life.
It is us to make it real!

Sorry, for me nothing is impossible - people are disappointed even if they do nothing - maybe even more.

      Lets make this year fab!
